Black Friday?

Just thinking to myself that old mantra, "It's only a bargain if you really need it."

I don't need anything right now so we are staying well away from the shops today!

Back later, perhaps...

Canada used to be a British Colony and therefore we have Boxing Day which is usually when all our sales occur. About 5 years ago marketers decided we needed to get involved with Black Friday, the day after American Thanksgiving (Canadian Thanksgiving was on October 13th this year, much early than theirs). Frankly, none of the deals look that great. I am not partaking either. Why should I feel the need to race out to the stores just because they want me to?

Called into Tescos spent just over £11 went to get a prescription filled. I've never seen the car park as full even for Xmas shopping, women pushing trolleys with flat screen tvs balanced on top, K'Archer power washers and window cleaning thingys on most of the checkouts crazy!
Take care xxxx

No shopping here, either. Just heard reports of crowds & mass hysteria surrounding Black Friday on Radio 4, no thanks! Vee x

Went to Sainsbugs for my usual shop with my Stepmother and it was packed!! As was the town and surrounding roads. We just got the necessary and came home!! I lit the fire and haven't moved far since!! Although I am panicking slightly as I have been under-par for a while and not made any Christmas gifts, not like me at all, so now what do I do?! Meeting up with family for prezy swop next wend too!! XX
