It is not a basic bag, either, in that there is a front pocket on this side, fastened with a button, and there is a further pocket on the inside, and the whole thing is completely lined with the same fabric. I think she may have a hobby developing here. I'm going to send her over to have a look at Ilona's bags too.

What a lovely bag, how talented she is! How nice to see her enthused with her course and working on her skills at home. This is a skill which will stand her in good stead in life, refreshing to see the needlecraft flourishing from school work where I know that in the Food Tech element of Design Technology the planning, designing and deconstructing have eclipsed the making skills and knowledge of food nutrients. Don't let me start on political interference in education!

That is so impressive! WS xxx
Clever girl! I wish things like that were on the curriculum 40 plus years ago when I was at school - we did nothing in the way of sewing and as my mum didn't either I really missed out.
A lovely bag, YFG is very talented in the sewing dept!! Hope she enjoyed making it and will continue to sew! Hope you are keeping your head above the bugs!!
What a beautiful bag! YFG has got real talent. DD's school no longer offer Textiles GCSE, but she is hoping to do Design which includes a textiles section.
Lovely bag. My daughter is doing GCSE textiles, she takes her exam in a couple of months.
