Gratitude and abundance

There's one of my favourite songs for you this morning as I am thinking about and preparing for the service I am taking this morning.  It is based on the story of Jesus turning water into wine at the wedding at Cana in John's Gospel.

My theme is one of giving thanks for God's abundance, and remembering to be grateful.  Counting our blessings helps us to be content where we are, not to look around in our lives and be miserable because we perceive that there is a lack.

Count your blessings
Name them one by one
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done!

Hope your service goes well, and the chapel is warm! Its snowing steadily here now, I imagine our congregation will be smaller than usual!

Blessings xx

Although I don't share your faith, the notion of counting blessings rather than focusing on the misery is something we all need to bear in mind. Thanks for the reminder x

Love this song. We didn't make it to church this morning - it's still snowing here - but hearing this is as good as a sermon!
