The girls are being affected by a boy on the school bus hassling them and some other girls, the problems at school are resurfacing because they are not being dealt with effectively, and another issue has arisen at school which involves a friend of mine.....and then there is the matter of the caravan holiday, which has not yet been resolved.
I know that these are small problems compared to other challenges that the world is facing. I know two people currently serving in Afghanistan - a neighbour is serving in Kandahar with the US military and the EFG's godmother's son is in Camp Bastion with the Royal Navy. A bomb was found in Ireland this morning ahead of the Queen's visit, so whether it would have affected her or not, it could have killed others; the people of Japan are struggling to rebuild their shattered country; I have two dear friends currently being affected by mental health issues - I know that my problems are small fry compared to these!

Morgan - Hugs - lots and lots of them. And a sticky one from little bear. And even a random tail swish from evil cat. Even if bad things are happening to other people, it doesn't mean that the bad things happening to you won't hurt.
You must feel like you are being beaten by a stick, and just because someone else is being hit by a crowbar doesn't stop that stick hurting you.
Hope things get better soon! WS x
Hi Morgan's M, sorry you are feeling down, I know what you mean, it is hard to feel happy with your own little lot, when you hear about so many sad things happening to other people, it doesn't seem fair. I haven't made the ginger cake yet as I am looking for the golden syrup. I do remember Tate and Lyles golden syrup, but it is not easy to find over here, they mostly use corn syrup, so I might just try that, as my husband keeps asking me when are you going to make it. It used to be his favourite cake in England. I would buy it from Marks and Spencers all the time. They used to have one here, but sadly it closed down, as they were quite expensive, probably because of having to import everything. I do hope that you feel better tomorrow. MoiraC
I wanted to say thank you for the cake recipe.
I made two big cakes, one in a square tin and the other in a tart tin. One has just been finished and the other is wrapped up in the freezer.
I shall definitely be making it again. Soo easy
Sue
Hi Morgan,
I wanted to say thank you so much for letting us know that Amazon UK is carrying the book. We had no idea.
I read your post today and can so relate to those days where it seems you are being hurt on everyside. We know there is much going on in the world. I too saw the Queens visit to Ireland and the bomb. ..and yet we each live in our small corner trying to make life work.. .Hugs from Canada.
