The YFG and I are off to Cambridge this morning. It will take us just over an hour to get there for the orthodontist appointment at 10.30am so the YFG has had a little lie-in and is just getting up now. She won't be going to school until after the appointment. The YFG has a "fang" - one of her teeth hasn't got room to come down properly and has emerged above the other teeth in her gum, at the side of her mouth. Our dentist says that her mouth isn't big enough!! Enough noise comes out of it.......
Today is also Jeans for Genes day so that is a £2 charge for me to pay so that the girls can wear jeans to school.
It's life.

Good luck at the dentist - DS has the same problem his fangs are due to him being a werewolf however - at least this is what he told the dentist last time. I can well believe it - when its a full moon he has been known to behave a bit oddly!! Thanks for the cottage mention in your previous post too.
Thanks. We're back and the YFG has been deposited in school. I am a little disgruntled to have travelled for an hour there and another back to spend less than three minutes with the dentist who briefly inspected her mouth and declared that she was suitable and eligible for treatment! She has to go back in a month's time to have medical records taken (impressions, x-rays, etc) and then on 20/12 for the braces to be fitted. In between those two visits, we have to go to our dentist to get him to remove two teeth. Why don't they allow enough time on this visit to do the record taking?!?!? Another Friday morning of school will be missed.....
